📢 Local Police Beat Team Update

Your local Beat Team has been continuing patrols across Sileby, Barrow upon Soar and the surrounding villages. We’ve been engaging with residents, responding to community concerns, and working to deter crime and anti-social behaviour.

Please remember we’re here to help. If you see anything suspicious, have information about local issues, or simply want to speak with us, feel free to get in touch through 101 or online via the Leicestershire Police website. In an emergency, always dial 999.

We’ll also be holding our upcoming beat surgeries throughout February, where you can meet us in person to raise any concerns or ask questions. Everyone is welcome.

Deliberate Fires in Sileby Memorial Park

There has been a spate of deliberately set fires in Sileby Memorial Park. Fire & Rescue have urged parents and guardians to speak with young people about the risks and consequences.
PCSO 6031 Charlie also conducted a joint patch walk with Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service due to repeated incidents caused by local youths.
 

The Parish Council has echoed these warnings, confirming that youths have been seen setting fires in the park and stressing that such incidents divert emergency resources from real emergencies.
